Carly Stevenson
Executive Vice President, Property Management
Ms. Stevenson is the Executive Vice President of Property Management for Avanath Capital Management and Brighthaven Communities, where she leads one of the nation’s largest and most complex multifamily platforms spanning affordable, mixed-income, and market-rate housing across the United States. Carly is a multi-decade property management veteran with deep operational, financial, and organizational expertise.
Prior to joining Avanath, she served as President of Property Management for The Mandel Group in Milwaukee, overseeing the profitability and operations of a multi-state portfolio. What distinguishes Carly is her grass-roots career trajectory. She began as a Leasing Consultant and advanced through every level of operations, giving her a practitioner’s understanding of onsite execution combined with a strategic, enterprise-level leadership lens. This perspective has made her a trusted operator, mentor, and thought leader within the industry.
Carly’s leadership and impact have been widely recognized. She is a multiple-time recipient of Chicagoland Apartment Marketing & Management Excellence Awards, was named Bisnow’s 2019 Power Women in Chicago Real Estate and received Connect Media’s 2020 Women in Real Estate – Midwest honor. Since then, she has continued to earn regional and national recognition, including industry leadership and influencer awards highlighted through platforms such as GlobeSt, Orange County Business Journal, and ACG, reflecting her influence on operations, culture, and growth within the multifamily sector.
In addition to her executive responsibilities, Carly is actively engaged in shaping the future of the industry. She previously served on the Board of Directors for the Chicagoland Apartment Association and currently sits on (2) National Multifamily Housing Council (NMHC) committees, contributing to national dialogue on operations, housing policy, and industry best practices.
