Keith Harris

Executive Vice President of Acquisitions
As Executive Vice President of Investments for Avanath Capital Management, Keith Harris is responsible for the firm’s national acquisitions, financing, and asset management activity. He has more than 35 years of experience in real estate including work in acquisitions, dispositions, asset management, lending, and investment structuring.

Prior to his role at Avanath, Mr. Harris was Principal of CKG Advisors LLC, an investment and advisory business specialized in the multifamily industry and ancillary investment opportunities.

Mr. Harris was also Senior Vice President of the Bozzuto Group, an experience-focused real estate company founded in 1988 that acquired, developed, and built more than 50,000 homes and apartments. His responsibilities included institutional capital raising and client relations.

Prior to joining Bozzuto, he spent 14 years at The Laramar Group, most recently serving as Chief Investment Officer. In this role, he led the firm’s acquisitions and dispositions as well as client capital management. Over the course of his tenure with The Laramar Group, he oversaw investment transactions for more than 30,000 apartment units valued at approximately $3 billion. Mr. Harris also spent 12 years with Heitman Capital Management and JMB Realty Corporation.

In addition to serving as an advisor for several property-tech firms and funds, Mr. Harris is also an active member of the following organizations:

  • National Multifamily Housing Council (NMHC) – Active Member
  • 501 (c)(3) Non-Profit Organization, Over the Rainbow Association – Former Chairman and current Board of Directors member
  • 501 (c)(3) Non-Profit Organization, Lotus Campaign – Advisory Board Member
He has a Bachelor’s in Economics from Carleton College.
