Denise Akayezu

Ms. Akayezu serves as Vice President of Human Resources at Avanath Capital Management LLC., where she drives human capital strategy across a diverse, multi-state portfolio. With over a decade of progressive Human Resources experience, she brings deep expertise in talent acquisition, performance management, employee relations, and compliance. Denise is known for aligning people strategies with business objectives, using data to drive measurable results, and building high-performing, engaged teams. Prior to Avanath, she held senior Human Resources leadership roles at gategroup and Metropolitan Healthcare Services Inc., where she led regional initiatives in recruitment, compliance, employee engagement, and organizational development, implementing programs that streamlined operations and enhanced the employee experience. Earlier in her career, she gained experience in international Human Resources, leave administration, and recruitment with Lord & Taylor and JACAJU Cargo. Ms. Akayezu holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Strayer University and a bachelor's degree in Management from l’Université Libre de Kigali. She is fluent in French and Swahili, enhancing her ability to effectively lead multicultural teams and can support global workforce initiatives.
