Dhara Patel

Dhara Patel is a Vice President of Investor Relations at Avanath Capital Management.  She has been with Avanath for nearly a decade, contributing to the firm’s growth as a leading institutional investment manager focused on affordable and workforce housing. She is responsible for investor communications, reporting, due diligence coordination, and capital markets support across the firm’s investment strategies. Mrs. Patel works closely with existing and prospective investors, including institutional partners, family offices, and wealth advisors, to deliver transparent, timely insights into portfolio performance, strategy, and market positioning. She plays a key role in managing investor reporting processes, supporting fundraising initiatives, and coordinating responses to due diligence requests, RFPs, and ongoing investor inquiries. Mrs. Patel brings a well-rounded financial background, having built her career across public accounting, fund accounting, and investor-facing roles. She began as an auditor at Squar Milner (now Baker Tilly), where she focused on real estate and investment clients, before transitioning into fund accounting and ultimately investor relations. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona. In addition to her professional work, Ms. Patel has been actively involved with BAPS and BAPS Charities for over 20 years, supporting a range of community service, humanitarian, and philanthropic initiatives.
