Casey Fleckenstein

As Director of Business Development at Brighthaven Communities, Casey Fleckenstein leads strategic growth initiatives that expand the firm’s affordable housing platform while maintaining a strong commitment to resident-centered outcomes. She focuses on cultivating partnerships, sourcing new opportunities, and aligning operational excellence with long-term portfolio performance. In her previous role at Avanath Capital Management, Casey drove resident-focused operational strategies across a national affordable housing portfolio. She co-founded the firm’s Cultural Engagement Services platform and developed the Circle of Service customer-relations framework, both designed to elevate resident experience, strengthen community engagement, and standardize best practices across properties. These initiatives now serve as a foundation for scalable growth and differentiated service delivery. Casey brings a multidisciplinary background spanning event production, early childhood education, and behavioral therapy, equipping her with a unique ability to build relationships, influence stakeholders, and translate creative, evidence-based approaches into real estate strategies that drive both social impact and business performance. An active leader within the Urban Land Institute (ULI), Casey serves on the ULI Orange County/Inland Empire Young Leaders Group Executive Committee. She was selected as a mentee for the 2024 and 2025 ULI Mentorship Programs and will continue her involvement through the Women’s Leadership Initiative in 2026. She remains passionate about advancing public-private collaboration and delivering measurable impact within the affordable housing sector.
